NEELGARH (BALTAL) BY HELICOPTER

Baltal is one hour away from Sonmarg on a taxi or a bus. It can also be reached from Pahalgam, 24 km away, in about 45 minutes. For hikers, it takes around 5 hours to reach Baltal from Pahalgam.
Other information about Neelgarh (Baltal) Altitude-8312 feet (Approx) Location -24 km away from pahalgam.Airport- The nearest airport would be Srinagar Airport which is 62 km from the required destination. As an alternative, there is Satwari Airport, Jammu which is 180 km away from Baltal.

PAHALGAM BY HELICOPTER

Pahalgam situated at an altitude of 7250 ft (approx.). It is at a distance of around 45 kms from Anantnag and around 90 kms from Srinagar The traditional trek for Shri Amarnathji Yatra starts from here, presently Chandanwari which is located 16 kilometres from Pahalgam is the start of the on foot yatra.
Those passengers who departing Pahalgam after 10 a.m. due to any reason, will by default be getting Next Day Return ticket as it is generally not possible for passengers to report back to Panchtarni Helipad by the cut off time of 3:00 p.m. Other information about Pahalgam

PANCHTARNI BY HELICOPTER

You will land at Panchtarni Helipad. The holy cave is at a distance of 6 kms from here, it takes 5 to 6 hours to go to the holy cave, have darshan and come back to Panchtarni Helipad. Due to the very high altitude passengers are strongly advised do not trek instead use Horses and Palki services available at Panchtarni. Due to safety reasons pilgrims are not allowed to leave Panchtarni for holy cave after 3:00 pm.

After darshan, Same Day Return Passengers must report back at Panchtarni helipad by the cut off time of 3:00 p.m. at the latest. At Panchtarni Helipad, boarding for the return trip to Pahalgam is done on First Come First Serve basis. Passengers reporting back at Panchtarni Helipad after 3 pm have no chance to get the flight to Pahalgam, this is because of the back log of other passengers that builds up by 3:00 p.m Other information about Panjatarni
– Altitude: 12000 feet
– Accommodation: There are no hotels at Panchtarni. However Panchtarni Camp has a capacity of over 4000 beds. Beds can cost between Rs. 300-500. Food and drinks are available at the various Bhandaaraas serving in Panchtarni.
